JOB SUMMARY

Underwrite applications to evaluate, classify and rate for all lines of insurance. Assist in training other account underwriters and agents.

Essential Functions

• Examine applications and determine degree of risk.
• Accepts, modify or reject applications.
• Work with field representatives to obtain additional information, quote rates, and explain company underwriting policies. Assist in the training of other account underwriters and agents.
• Evaluate the risk and possibility of losses due to catastrophe or excessive coverage.
• Re-write existing policies as needed.
• Visit assigned districts/agencies as requested or required.
